People are too impatient and ignorant. Yes, corporate backing of entrenched politicians must end, but just replacing the old guard won't stop that.

I'm not saying she gave up her parental rights, but she "gave up" his custody due to, among other things, mental instability. She had other options, but obviously chose the most confrontational and angry method.

A "custodial" parent - yes. In this case, the mother was not the custodial parent, had not been for 5 years and gave up her son due to ... mental problems. She had no right to do what she did, but should have called it to the attention of the custodian.
